On March 8, PSA and Hudson Institute co-hosted a discussion on Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) featuring Ambassador Bonnie Jenkins, Coordinator for Threat Reduction Programs in the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation, U.S. Department of State. Along with Andrew Semmel, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Nuclear Nonproliferation, Amb. Jenkins discussed a variety of issues related to CTR, including the following questions: How do U.S. CTR programs and initiatives need to adapt to continue to be effective in the 21st century? How should the United States work to engage key partners in CTR? What steps can the United States take to globally build awareness and capacity to prevent the proliferation of WMD-related materials, technologies, and knowledge?
Audio and visual footage of the event is available on Hudson's website.
