The Partnership for a Secure America is offering a unique opportunity for House and Senate staffers to engage with counterparts from across the aisle and gain career-enhancing training and education through participation in its Congressional Fellowship Program. Each Fellowship Session will accept 10-15 Fellows. By meeting in small groups with distinguished former leaders from both parties, Fellows will acquire substantive knowledge about national security and foreign policy challenges, as well as critical negotiating and consensus-building skills.
The Fellowship Program is no longer accepting applications. To become a Fellow, staffers must:
- be employed by a Member of Congress; and
- demonstrate an interest in national security and foreign policy issues.
In order to successfully complete the Fellowship, staffers must:
- Attend four training events during the three-month Session including,
- Orientation / Introduction – half day
- Three other training events (1-2 hrs/each)
- Participate in a weekend Retreat; and
- Complete a Fellowship Project (tailored to the needs of their Members of Congress).
Fellows will finish the Program fully prepared to assume greater responsibility and leadership roles in their offices. In addition, Fellows will become part of a broader alumni community, which will have access to ongoing opportunities for networking and training.
