Climate Change, Energy, and National Security: PSA in Virginia

On August 12, 2009, in Richmond, PSA, CNA, and the Reserve Officers Association sponsored a panel discussion on the national security risks posed by global climate change and America’s energy use.  PSA Executive Director Matthew Rojansky and Vice Admiral Dennis McGinn of the CNA Military Advisory Board spoke at the American Legion Headquarters before a group of mostly veterans about the strain that increasing energy demand, sea-level rise, drought, and mass migration will place on America’s military.

Prior to the panel discussion, Admiral McGinn and Mr. Rojansky hosted a luncheon with local business and political leaders from Richmond at the Jefferson Hotel to discuss the impact of climate change and energy dependence on American industry.
